I was chatting to a group of people and was struck once again just how we love to complain about stuff. One of the favorite topics seems to be our country and how rude and disrespectful people are, and the general feeling is that it is not getting any better.
I got really caught up in this and I found myself agreeing. Yes people are rude and disrespectful and I don't like it.
Then I went to gym the next morning...I walked past the pool and this complete stranger greeted me with such enthusiasm and sincerity...and when I left the gym a gentleman opened the door for me and held it open not just for me but also the person behind me and he did this with a sincere greeting. And I thought to myself...now this is the kind of world I want to live in.
It then dawned on me once again that if I want to live in a kind, loving and generous world that I have the ability and the responsibility to create it! I can create such a world by MY actions and attitude towards others.
